We are family-owned and operated, four generations and counting. Family provides unrelenting support and our independence lets us forge our path and write our own rules. Founded by Late Khetsi Das Agarwalla in 1954 against all odds, the Goenka Family Group have since grown to become one of India's premier tea producers.

With a presence in both CTC and Orthodox tea and by producing 20 million kilos of tea spread across 16 factories and gardens we are one of the largest non-corporate tea producing families in India.

The Pureassamtea Group is an offshoot of the Goenka Family Group which produces upwards of 2.7 million kilograms of CTC tea annually. We are still a family business, committed to providing high-quality tea to all our customers and have developed enduring relationships with our employees, business partners, and customers in a way which we pride ourselves on.

Late Khetsi Das Agarwalla was succeeded by his son Shri Radheshyam Agarwalla who passed it on to the current head of the group Mr. Sandeep Goenka.
